The Hidden Rope

The Hidden Rope is designed to revitalize the forgotten alleyway by the mean of contrast with the city of Chattanooga. The installation consists of a series of hanging ropes performing in a way of lightweight and natural form in the city that is composed of blocks arranged in orthogonal urban fabric. With the limited frontage of alleyway, the contrast of the language raises the attention of the passer-by. Meanwhile, The ropes act as a screen to partially hide the activity space at the centre of the alleyway to stimulate the curiosity of the passer-by on the main street.
